- This model of Laser Spray (Rain Pipe / Rain Hose) is specially developed for large or longish plots.
- It gives a Maximum Permissible Running Length of as much as 100 metres as against 50-60 mtr in case of the standard models, making it ideal for large and long plot.
- Its long running length results in savings on main pipe, submain pipe, and fittings.
- Its extended running length significantly reduces the requirement for main pipes, sub-main pipes, and associated fittings. As illustrated in the diagram below for a one-hectare irrigation system comparing Laser Spray Marathon 40 with a conventional 40 mm rain pipe/rain hose, the Laser Spray system requires substantially lower quantities of the following components:
- Main Line
• Sub Main Line
• Valves
• End Caps
The larger the plot, the higher is the saving. For very large / long plots, Laser Spray Marathon is a must.
- It also reduces labour required for installation simple because of lesser quantity of the components.
- The Laser Spray Marathon system irrigates at a slower rate compared to other models; however, each valve covers a larger area. This feature offers a practical advantage appreciated by many farmers, as it increases the interval between valve operations.
With longer intervals between opening valves, farmers or labourers have more flexibility to attend to other tasks instead of remaining constantly present in the field. Typically, the interval between valve openings in a Laser Spray Marathon system is around 30 minutes, whereas in other systems it is approximately 10 minutes.
